Spherical Plain Bearing
Different from other bearings, the insert spherical bearing is a deep groove ball bearing designed to work under combined radial and axial load conditions. The characteristic of this type of bearing is that the surface of the outer ring is spherical and has self-aligning ability. A typical bearing refers to a rolling assembly consisting of rings, balls/rollers, and cages. However, special "case" implementations of nodes take a completely different layout and are optimized for an extended range of tasks.

Thrust spherical plain bearings can accommodate axial as well as combined radial and axial loads. This specific design includes a lubrication-free steel/PTFE FRP sliding contact surface combination. However, relubrication can be carried out from both sides, thus prolonging the service life of the bearing.
